Why Nature's Classroom is the Right Choice for You
With nearly 50 years of providing Outdoor Education field trips to students, we have the knowledge and understanding to help make planning easy and your stay with us enjoyable and educational.
Each group is able to tailor their trip to best augment and expand their specific classroom curriculum. Our staff will meet with you ahead of time to discuss your goals and expectations, then will work hard to ensure your needs are met.
Our hands-on, project-based classes are designed to motivate students. Interesting lessons and creative activities in a wide variety of subjects allow students to delve deeper into their areas of interest and find new ones.
Whether completing a low-ropes initiative, or helping to set their table for a meal, students will hone their ability to work with one another and contribute to their community. Our team-building emphasis helps instill students with a sense of community and improves individual self-esteem.
Our winterized facilities provide a comfortable lodging experience for students and adults. Our sites have indoor plumbing, hot water, and electricity in their dormitories. There is ADA compliant housing available as well. Given our range of housing options, we are able to accommodate groups or up to 300 individuals.
Meals are provided by experienced chefs in our dining hall facilities. There is an ample supply of food at each meal, with many different options to ensure everyone is well-fed. We do not serve peanuts or tree-nuts at any of our sites, and with prior notice, our kitchens can accommodate guests with allergies to any of the big 8 allergens, as well as many others. Vegetarian and vegan diets are also accommodated.
We have trained medics staff to provide medical care for all groups during program hours. If your group has specific medical needs or concerns, please contact us ahead of time and we will be happy to discuss potential accommodations.
Our teaching staff comes from all over the United States and are brought together by a common love and excitement for educating outdoors. Nature's Classroom teachers have bachelor's degrees in a wide variety of disciplines and come from many different backgrounds.
To help answer your questions and concerns, we offer free explanatory presentations to teachers, parents, and school boards with no commitment necessary. A representative from our administration would be more than happy to present our program to prospective schools, please contact us to schedule a meeting.
