Outdoor/Environmental Educators

Our program operates during the school-year; we offer seasonal employment in the spring and fall. We are typically hiring during winter and summer months, but please reach out to us anytime regarding future employment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  •  Group leader and teacher in the 5-day seasonal residential program

  • Develop and present classes in a variety of academic areas of your choosing

  • Supervise middle school aged students in field experiences

  • Facilitate students in team building initiatives and low ropes course.

  • Evening activities and mealtime duties

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (Paid internships are available for people who do not yet hold a bachelor's degree)

  • Strong commitment to educate children

  • Energetic, dedicated & able to become involved in all aspects of the program

  • Special skills (music, singing, storytelling) helpful

  • Experience working with children preferred

Benefits:

  • Weekly salaries starting at $550 weekly 

  • Food and lodging 7 days a week for the length of contract

  • No weekend or overnight duties

Dates of Employment vary by site, but are roughly:

  • Fall: September through December

  • Spring: March through mid-June
