Nature's Classroom is a
residential environmental education program dedicated to community
awareness, motivational learning and conservation of natural resources.
Our program brings children, usually in grades 4-8, along with their
school teachers, to any of 13 different centers in the Northeast. |

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

are currently looking for staff to begin in September, 2009

ENVIRONMENTAL
/ OUTDOOR EDUCATOR
|
|
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Group leader and teacher in the 5-day residential program.
- Develop and present classes in a variety of academic areas.
-Special projects and light maintenance of the facility.
-Evening activities and mealtime duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelors degree
-Strong commitment to children and learning
-Teaching experience (certification NOT required)
-Science/Math background helpful but not required
-Energetic, dedicated & able to become involved in all aspects of the
program.
-Experience working with children desired.
-Special skills (music, singing, storytelling, group dynamics) helpful.
SALARY/BENEFITS:
-$200 to $340 per week based on education and experience
-Room and board 7 days a week
-The opportunity to teach in an informal setting at a 1 to 12 ratio

WORK
IN A NON-MEDICAL SETTING
At Nature's Classroom, you will have a nice
"healthy" relationship with kids.
BE
A RESPECTED PART OF A PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY
Nature's Classroom brings children, usually grades 4-8,
along with their teachers, to one of our centers for 5 days. Our staff
at each center include a site director, a medical staff person,
instructors and cooks.
HAVE
MORE TIME TO YOURSELF
All staff work Monday through Friday. All weekends off!
Medical staff are on call, but perform medical duties only 2-3 hours per
day.
LIVE
IN SOME OF NEW ENGLAND'S MOST BEAUTIFUL AREAS
Nature's Classroom has 13 centers in New England. Room and
board is provided 7 days a week in comfortable, modern, winterized
housing.
Nature's Classroom runs through the school year. We are currently hiring
for positions that begin in September, 2009.
