EMPLOYMENT

Silver Bay is an outstanding place to experience a week at Nature’s Classroom, with terrific accommodations, a beautiful lake and the awesome hills of the Adirondack Mountains . Silver Bay is about 60 miles north of Albany , New York and sits on the shore of Lake George . This beautiful site includes quality food and lodging for 384 students provided by the Silver Bay Association YMCA.

Students and chaperones stay at Spengler, Bayview or the Inn . Most of the rooms accomodate 2 students each, and some even have their own bathrooms. We have a large dining hall and a full size indoor gymnasium is great for large group activities and free time. We use several other comfortable buildings on the site as well, for classes and activities.

Our day hikes take us to Sunrise Mountain , Jabes Pond, Inspiration Point and Uncas Cliff (seen in the movie, “Last of the Mohicans.”  It’s a wonderful place to hike, leading us to caves, streams, fascinating glacial erratics and a wide variety of wildlife.

We know you will have a great stay at Silver Bay!
